JANUARY 2010
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

paid the college tuition of 2 children of an officer from Gang Crimes South who was catastrophically injured in the line of duty.

continued to pay health insurance for a PO from the 009 District who is terminally ill.

provided financial assistance to a 008th District officer who suffered two heart attacks.

provided financial assistance to pay for prescriptions and secondary insurance premium for the widow of an officer from the 001st District who was killed in the line of duty. This widow had lost her annuity.

provided financial assistance to pay for secondary insurance premium for the widow of an officer from the 002nd District who was killed in the line of duty.

provided financial assistance to an officer in the 014th District who served in Iraq and lost one-months pay upon return to work in November 2009.

provided financial assistance to an officer in the Deployment Operations Center in need of purchasing an especially equipped van to help care for his daughter who is seriously ill.

provided financial assistance for medical bills for an officer from Gang Crimes South who was catastrophically injured in the line of duty.

DECEMBER 2009
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

provided financial assistance to a 022nd District officer who suffered catastrophic injuries in a patrol car accident.

paid the tuition for the children of an Area 4 Gun Team Officer who suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a car while leaving court.

provided financial assistance to the family of an officer from the Public
Transportation Section who died.

continued to pay the health insurance premium for an officer from the 009th District who is terminally ill.

provided financial assistance to the family of an officer from the 009th District who died.

provided financial assistance to an officer from the 012th District who suffered serious injuries while making an arrest.

paid the prescription costs for the widow of a 001st District officer who was killed in the line of duty. This widow had lost her annuity.

funded the educational expense for the daughter of an officer from Detached Services who was killed in the line of duty.

purchased gifts for the children of police officers from the 007th, 010th, 011th, 015th, 020th & 22nd Districts, Narcotics Section, Special Operations Group and Detached Services who had been killed in the line of duty. CPMF also purchased gifts for catastrophically injured police officers and their children from the 004th, 008th, 022nd & 024th Districts and Gang Crimes South. On December 19th & 20th, Operation Santa took place with Santa and Mrs. Claus being escorted by Chicago Police Officers and delivering gifts to the homes of these 32 children.

NOVEMBER 2009
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

provided financial assistance to 7 officers who have applied for disability. They are from the 012th, 020th, 023rd Districts, Traffic Enforcement and Headquarters.

paid death benefits to the families of officers from 021 District, Area 1 Detective Division and the Human Resources Unit.

provided financial assistance to a 013th District officer who suffered serious injuries while serving in the military in Afghanistan.

paid the secondary insurance for 3 widows of Fallen Chicago Police Officers from 001 and 002 Districts and a Detective from the Bureau of Robbery who were killed in the line of duty and who had lost their annuity.

provided educational assistance to the son of an officer from the 13th District who was catastrophically injured in the line of duty.

made a financial donation, donated CPMF merchandise and paid the postage for care packages sent to our officers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq by the Police Chaplains Ministry.

OCTOBER 2009
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

paid a death benefit to the family of an officer from the 017th District who died.

provided additional assistance for medical bills to a 012th District officer who suffered from brain cancer. 

paid the secondary insurance for 3 widows of Fallen Chicago Police Officers from 001, 002 and a Detective from the Bureau of Robbery who were killed in the line of duty and who had lost their annuity.

continued to pay the health insurance for a PO from the 009 District who is terminally ill.

continued to provided assistance to an officer from Unit 163 who was in a near fatal motorcycle accident.

provided assistance to an officer from the 12th District who suffers from a serious illness.

provided educational assistance to 3 children of officers from Gang Crimes South and the 024th District who were catastrophically injured in the line of duty.

 

SEPTEMBER, 2009
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

paid a death benefit to the family of an officer from the 018th District who died.

provided assistance to an officer from Unit 163 who was in a near fatal motorcycle accident.

approved the line of duty death of an officer from the 003rd District.

started to pay for the health insurance for a PO from the 009 District who is terminally ill.

provided financial assistance to 6 officers from the 003, 253, 004, 018, 376, 013 districts.

provided educational assistance to 5 children of officers killed in the line of duty from the 010 district and units 543 and 189.

paid the secondary insurance benefit to 2 widows of fallen Chicago Police Officers who were killed in the line of duty and lost their annuity.

paid a death benefit to the wife of an officer from the detective division who died.

provided asstance for medical bills to a 012th district officer who suffered from brain cancer.

AUGUST, 2009
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

provided educational assistance to 2 daughters of a catastrophically injured officer from the 022nd District. 

provided educational assistance to 14 children of officers who were killed in the line of duty.

provided educational assistance to 3 children of officers who were catastrophically injured in the line of duty.

provided financial assistance to 3 officers  from the 018, 016 districts and Unit 620.

approved assistance for medical bills to a 012th District officer who suffered from brain cancer. 

approved assistance to a daughter of a police officer from unit 193 who died of cancer.

started to pay for the health insurance for a PO from the 009 District who is terminally ill.

approved the assistance to 3 widows of Fallen Chicago Police Officers who were killed in the line of duty and who lost their annuity.

paid a death benefit to the wife of an officer from Unit 193 who died.

JULY, 2009
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

approved assistance to an area 5 Detective who was critical injured in an auto accident.

approved assistance for medical bills to a 012th District officer who suffered from brain cancer.

approved phone cards for an officer who was seriously injured while serving in Afghanistan.

provided financial assistance to 3 officers from the following districts 016, 018 and unit 620 who have applied for disability.

JUNE, 2009
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation

paid a death benefit to the parents and unborn child of an officer from the 007th District who died in the line of duty.

provided financial assistance to 2 officers from the following districts 001, 024, who have applied for disability.

funded a program presented by professional counseling.

funded the transportation of 25 officers to the en banc parole hearings in Springfield to show support to deny the parole of a cop killer.

MAY, 2009
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

provided financial assistance for a fallen officer’s widow from the 006 District.

provided financial assistance to an officer is terminally ill from the 009th District for a ramp for her home after her leg was amputated.

Provided assistance to the Motorcycle Unit of the CPD to travel to Washington for the Memorial to honor our officers and to escort the families of officers killed in the line of duty.

provided the transportation of the CPD Recruits to attend the Springfield Memorial to honor Chicago’s fallen heroes.

APRIL, 2009
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

began paying for the supplementary insurance of 3 widows who husbands were killed in the line of duty from the 001, 002 and a Detective from the Bureau of Robbery who lost their husbands pensions due to remarrying.

provided financial assistance to a daughter of a Police Officer from 189 who suffers from cancer. 

provided financial assistance to 3 officers from the following districts 189, 009, 010 who have applied for disability.

started to pay for the health insurance for a PO from the 009 District who is terminally ill.

paid a death benefit to the wife of an officer from the 016th District who died.

paid a death benefit to the parents of an officer from the 008th District who died.

paid a death benefit to the husband of an officer from the 016th District who died.

MARCH, 2009
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

paid a death benefit to the widow of an officer from the 009th District who died.

paid for the health insurance of a terminally ill officer from the 050 unit.

paid the college tuition for a son of an officer from the Gangs Unit who was catastrophically injured in the line of duty.

provided financial assistance to a Sgt. from Public Transportation who suffered catastrophic injuries from an on duty traffic crash in 1983.

provided financial assistance to 4 officers from the following districts 008, 005, 018 and 006 who have applied for disability.

started to pay for the health insurance for a PO from the 009 District who is terminally ill.

paid a death benefit to the parents of an officer from the 023rd District who was killed off duty.

paid the college room and board for a daughter of a Sergeant from the 005th District who suffered a sudden critical illness. 

FEBRUARY, 2009
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

paid for the health insurance of a terminally ill officer from the 050 unit.

paid for the health insurance of a terminally ill officer from the 050 unit.

provided financial assistance to a retired officer who was critically ill from the 001st District.

provided financial assistance to 2 officers from 011and 018 who have applied for disability.

provided a death benefit to the family of an officer who died from the 015th District.

paid a death benefit to the widow of an officer assigned to the FOP who died.

JANUARY, 2009
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

paid for the health insurance of a terminally ill officer from the 050 unit.

provided financial assistance to a retired officer who was critically ill from the 001st District.

provided financial assistance to an officer who was critically ill from the 013 District. 

paid for the high school tuition for 2 son’s of a 005th District Sgt. who suffered a sudden critical illness.

provided financial assistance to 3 officers from the following districts 018, 021, 008 who have applied for disability.

provided assistance to an officer from the 025th District who had a house fire.

provided assistance to an officer from the 010 District who was on disability and had no heat in her home.

paid a death benefit to the widow of an officer from Unit 640 who died.

funded the transportation of 25 officers to the en banc parole hearings in Springfield to show support to deny the parole of a cop killer.
