Fallen Officer Charities
The Chicago Police Department has suffered tremendously with the loss of five great men in Line of Duty deaths during 2010. At this time, charitable funds have been established or designated to honor the lives of four of these men. As 2010 draws to a close, would you consider making a year end donation to one or more of these funds? Or, would you consider making a donation in 2011? The current funds are as follows:
In honor of Sergeant Alan Haymaker:
Breakthrough Urban Ministries
The Haymaker family has requested that donation be made to Breakthrough Urban Ministries. Sgt. Haymaker would often give people their cards or try to connect them with the ministry as an additional help to them. Breakthrough offers food and shelter for adults and assistance with mental health care, employment training and housing. They also have a food pantry and youth and family services available with programs in early childhood, after school, and athletics.
