Lamar Cooper Found Guilty Murdering Officer Nate Taylor

Lamar Cooper was found guilty of murdering Officer Nate Taylor on Thursday, January 26, 2012. Officer Taylor was shot and killed on September 28, 2008 as he and several other officers served a search warrant. The 14 year veteran of the CPD and former Marine left behind a wife and daughter.
Lamar Cooper's trial for this senseless murder began Monday at 26th & Cal in room 702, in Judge Nick Ford's courtroom. The trial wrapped up Thursday with the guilty verdict.
The trial produced and outpouring of support for the Taylor family and friends, especially by officers on Tuesday, January 24, when a special prayer vigil was held on the steps outside the courthouse lead by CPD Chaplin Father Brandt.
