Congratulations to Andy Campbell, our 2011 CPMF Texas Hold 'Em champion. Of 200 players, Andy held on to win first place in the tournament which was held Wednesday night in "The Venue" of the Horseshoe Casino Hammond. More than 300 people, including Ron Magers, Richard Roeper and Roe Conn, attended the event. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a very successful evening for the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation.

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation held its Second Annual benefit at Lizzie McNeill's Irish Pub, 400 North McClurg Court in Chicago, on Saturday, August 27th. It was a beautiful day by the riverside as everyone enjoyed food and drinks generously donated by Lizzie McNeill's. We had a great turnout and raised nearly $5,000 to support the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation in its efforts to assist the families of fallen and catastrophically injured Chicago police officers. Thanks to Lizzie McNeill's and all who attended!

More than 150 friends of the CPMF gathered on Monday, August 22 to watch the Cubs game at Wrigley Rooftops. A great time was had by all! The night's highlights included Nauden and Flisk families presenting a plaque to Tom Gramatis of Wrigley Field Rooftops for organizing this benefit. We also thank Bob King for donating a portion of the pot he won back to CPMF. We are thankful for a wonderful crowd and very grateful to Wrigley Rooptops for the amazing generosity!

An award of appreciation was presented to Tom Farrell and Jennifer Dykstra for their efforts in putting together the "Friends of Chicago's Finest" Golf Outing on August 19, 2011. The event raised more than $20,000 for the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. We are so grateful for their hard work, and for their dedication to the Chicago Police Memorial Fund!

<p>This speech was given by Philip O'Reilly, Jr. at this year's Candlelight Vigil Reception. His father, Sergeant Philip J. O'Reilly, was killed in an automobile accident while on patrol on March 16, 2003. In addition to Phillip, Sgt. O'Reilly was survived by his wife, five other children, and seven siblings. The CPMF is currently funding Philip's high school education at St. Pat's.</p>
