Lt. Edward Murphy

Lieutenant Edward Murphy and his partner were conducting a search for an offender wanted for two homicides. After learning that the murderer had fled to his brother's apartment, they went there to make the arrest of the dangerous offender. The offender resisted and fired a barrage of bullets. Both Lieutenant Murphy and his partner, Officer Eugene Keegan, sustained multiple and fatal gunshot wounds.
