Officer Charles Kraatz responded to a call of "man with a gun." Upon arriving at the scene, Officer Kraatz discovered an armed man threatening a crowd of citizens at an intersection. As Officer Kraatz courageously confronted the gunman, the offender fired three shots at the officer, seriously wounding him. The brave officer died as a result of the injuries he sustained. |
