On March 9, 1960, P.O. Dennis Laughlin was working in plain clothes in order to capture a robbery gang. While rounding up members of the gang, a scuffle ensued between P.O. Laughlin and one of the subjects. P.O. Laughlin suffered a fatal heart attack during the scuffle. It was later determined that this subject was reaching for a gun. |
