P.O. Frank Rappaport #12256

Officer Frank Rappaport responded to a call of a police officer shot. Upon arrival, Officer Rappaport discovered an intense gun battle between officers and offenders. Officer Rappaport observed an officer get shot near a rear porch. As Officer Rappaport attempted to assist the wounded officer, he was struck by gunfire. The brave officer died as a result of his injuries en route to the hospital. Officer John Gilhooly was also fatally wounded in the incident.
