Officer George T. Freeman arrested an offender for disorderly conduct. As Officer Freeman transported the prisoner to the station, the offender became violent and knocked Officer Freeman to the ground. As a concerned citizen came to Officer Freeman's assistance, the offender fled. The dedicated officer died as a result of his severe injuries. |
