P.O. Henry Peeler #11174

Officer Henry Peeler and his partner responded to a disturbance on the street. When the officers approached, an offender fled and Officer Peeler took pursuit. The offender suddenly turned into a gangway and opened fire on Officer Peeler. Officer Peeler suffered several fatal wounds. It was later discovered that the offender was wanted in East St. Louis for the attempted murder of a police officer.
