Officer Herbert Hagberg and his partner courageously responded to a call of an intoxicated man armed with a shotgun and causing a disturbance. The offender had shot his wife and killed a citizen. When confronted, the gunman opened fire at the officers. Both Officer Hagberg, and his partner Officer John L. Conley, suffered fatal injuries. |
