Officer Herman Stallworth observed a speeding motorist. When Officer Stallworth curbed the vehicle, one of the occupants pointed a gun at him and fired. The brave officer was struck and died as a result of his injuries. |
Reflections
It's been over 40 years and I still miss my Dad. The ripple effect when a officer is slain continues for years. A husband a son, a brother, and a father are gone. His death continues to affect my family. It takes tremendous courage to put on that badge and walk out the door of your own home everyday not knowing if you will return. And sometimes you don't.
