Reflections
Pat Sweeney was a "TASK FORCE GUY". After his accident, he was assigned to the desk, and he did not like that very much. He was a wonerful person and deciated to all the guys in Area #2 SOG. Well liked and highly thought of. I recently met his son at a police meeting in Orland Park, O.P.L.E.O and his son really wanted to know more about his father's working on the police department. He died as a recult of injuries he obtained in a traffic accident involving his 3-wheel motorcycle. The repair shop failed to give this motorcycle proper maintence. His accident was prior to FOP being organized and officers really did not have any voice in how maintance in perform, as they do now. "May HE REST IN PEACE" and "GOD BLESS PAT SWEENEY".
