P.O. James Scannell #7808

Officer Scannell and two other officers were summoned to arrest a disruptive bar patron who had been quarreling with other customers. As they tried to place him under arrest, the subject resisted. During the struggle, Officer Scannell suffered a heart attack and collapsed. Officer Scannell's partners tried to revive him on the scene before an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
