P.O. John Quirk #9866

Officer John Quirk was sitting in his parked car when two gunmen jumped into the back seat. The offenders announced a robbery and ordered Officer Quirk to start driving. Officer Quirk complied and, in an attempt to thwart the robbery, deliberately crashed his vehicle. At the same time, Officer Quirk drew his service revolver and fired upon the startled robbers. In the ensuing gun battle, Officer Quirk was fatally wounded.
