Officer Joseph Ferguson and his partner questioned three suspicious men on the street. Two of the men were placed under arrest and the third was released. Shortly thereafter, the third man returned with a gun. A gun battle ensued, during which Officer Ferguson sustained two serious wounds. The courageous officer died in the hospital. |
