Officer Martin Knudson was detailed to guard cash collections being taken at a newspaper garage. Three armed offenders entered and announced a holdup. In an attempt to foil the robbery, Officer Knudson drew his revolver. A gun battle ensued, in which the courageous officer was fatally wounded. |
