P.O. Mitchell Stone #4030

Officer Mitchell Stone learned from a citizen that a man on the street was carrying a concealed gun. Officer Stone followed the offender on foot into a parking lot while his partner in the squad car blocked the other end of the lot. When Officer Stone con- fronted the offender, the offender drew a weapon and fired. Officer Stone was struck and died as a result of his injuries. It was later learned that the gunman was wanted for several armed robberies.
