Patrolman Peter J. Connolly was burned to death on October 19, 1930. Connolly was eating at a restaurant when a waitress asked the officer to look at the hot water boiler which was malfunctioning. While the policeman was reading the intructions on the boiler it exploded and severely burned him. His injuries resulted in his death. |
