P.O. Richard O'Brien #5337

Officer Richard O'Brien and his partner stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A fierce struggle ensued, during which one offender gained control of Officer O'Brien's partner's revolver. The gunman fired, seriously wounding both officers. After shooting Officer O'Brien, the offender stood over the fallen officer and continued to fire. Both Officer O'Brien and his partner, Officer William Fahey, were shot and killed.
