Officer Robert Granger learned from a citizen that an armed robbery was taking place in a nearby building. Officer Granger rushed to the scene and found a gunman robbing the participants of a card game. When Officer Granger ordered the offender to drop his weapon, the gunman opened fire. The dedicated officer was fatally wounded. |
