Officer Samuel Black and his partner responded to a domestic disturbance. As Officer Black entered the building, the offender fired a fatal gunshot at the courageous officer. As the offender fled, he fired several shots at Officer Black's partner, striking him as well. Both Officer Black and his partner, Officer Ezra Caldwell, died as a result of the encounter. |
