Al and his partner worked for me in 15 as a 3rd watch wagon crew. And I can't say I ever had to call them, because they were always there. Al always did his job and always was around to help out. As a supervisor I could always count on them. As a sergeant he continued being the steady and reliable person we all knew him to be. He cared about the average P/O and never forgot where he came from. We as a Department and individually are all better for having known him. My condolences to his family and my thanks for all he gave to us. No greater love than this, that a man would give his life for a friend. John 15:13 -- Lieut. Joseph Porebski
