Sergeant Charles Eichhorst responded to a "robbery in progress" call. Upon arrival, Sergeant Eichhorst observed a robber fleeing the store. Sergeant Eichhorst immediately placed the robber under arrest. While searching the robber, a second robber exited the store. The second robber approached the brave sergeant from behind and shot him several times. Sergeant Eichhorst died from his injuries. |
