The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided the following assistance during October 2014: 

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $1 Million Dollars in financial assistance to the Chicago Police Department in order to purchase replacement bulletproof vests.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided education assistance to the child of an officer from the Education and Training Academy who passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to a Chicago Police Detective from Area North whose daughter is severely ill.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to a Chicago Police detective from Area South who is severely ill.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to an officer from the Compstat Unit who is severely ill.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to a detective from Area Central who is severely ill.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to an officer from the 009th District who is severely ill.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to an officer from the 009th District to help pay for burial expenses.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to a captain from the 007th District who was shot in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of a captain from the 025th District who recently passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided assistance to four Chicago Police Officers from the Alternate Response Unit, Central Homicide Evaluation and Support Unit, Area North Detectives and the 010th District who recently filed for disability.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to three widows of officers from the 001st and 002nd Districts and Area 4 Detectives Unit who were killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Survivors Group.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Gold Star Families.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial support to Officer Involved Shooting Classes.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation chartered a bus and transported uniformed Chicago Police Officers, CPMF personnel, and Gold Star Family members to the parole hearing of Joseph Hurst, convicted murderer of Chicago Police Officer Herman Stallworth.  As a result of these efforts, parole was denied.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the Pipes and Drums of the Chicago Police Department.
  • In addition to ongoing monthly assistance, the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid tuition in the amount of $136,963.33 for children of officers who were killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty from the HBT, Organized Crime and Narcotics Units and the 004th, 007th, 010th, 011th,013th, 020th and 024th Districts.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $75,000 in $2,500 memorial grants to 25 children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 007th, 010th, 011th, 013th, 015th/Tact., 020th, 022nd, 023rd and 024th Districts and the Special Operations Unit, Forensic Services Unit, Narcotics Unit and Organized Crime Division.

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided the following assistance during September 2014: 

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid tuition in the amount of $15,403.00 for children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 013th District and Organized Crime Division.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $5,000 in $2,500 memorial grants to 2 children of officers who were killed in the line of duty from the 007th District and Forensic Services Unit.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided education assistance to the children on an officer from the 019th District who was severely injured while on duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided education assistance to the children of an officer from the Evidence and Recovered Property Section who has recently passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to a Chicago Police officer from the 020th District who is severely ill.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to a Chicago Police detective from Area South who is severely ill.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of an officer from the Forensic Services Unit who recently passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided assistance to seven Chicago Police Officers from the 002nd, 004th, 006th and 018th Districts and the Area North Detectives Division and Canine Unit who recently filed for disability.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to two widows of officers from the 001st and 002nd Districts who were killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Survivors Group.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Gold Star Families.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial support to Officer Involved Shooting Classes.
  • In addition to ongoing monthly assistance, the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid tuition in the amount of $121,560.33 for children of officers who were killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty from the HBT and Narcotics Units and the 004th, 007th, 010th, 011th, 020th and 024th Districts.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $70,000 in $2,500 memorial grants to 25 children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 007th, 010th, 011th, 013th, 015th/Tact., 020th, 022nd, 023rd and 024th Districts and the Special Operations Unit, Forensic Services Unit, Narcotics Unit and Organized Crime Division.

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided the following assistance during August 2014: 

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid tuition in the amount of $29,446.49 for children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 011th and 024th Districts.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $7,500 in $2,500 memorial grants to 3 children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 024th District and Special Operations and Forensic Services Units.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to an officer from the 015th District whose daughter is severely ill.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to an officer from the 012th District who is severely ill.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to an officer from the 019th District who was severely injured while on duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to two widows of officers from the 002nd District and Area 4 Detectives Unit who were killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Survivors Group.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Gold Star Families.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the Chaplain’s Unit in order to conduct two End of Life seminars.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation maintained the waterwall at Gold Star Families Memorial and Park.
  • In addition to ongoing monthly assistance, the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid tuition in the amount of $92,113.84 for children of officers who were killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty from the HBT and Narcotics Units and the 004th, 007th, 010th and 020th Districts.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $62,500 in $2,500 memorial grants to 25 children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 007th, 010th, 011th, 013th, 015th/Tact., 020th, 022nd and 023rd Districts and the Narcotics Unit and Organized Crime Division.

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided the following assistance during July 2014: 

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid tuition in the amount of $19,195 for children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the HBT Unit , Narcotics Unit and the 020th District.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $10,000 in $2,500 memorial grants to 4 children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 010th, 020th, 022nd and 023rd Districts.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $6,400 in educational assistance to an officer from the Public Transportation Section who was severely injured while on duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to two widows of officers from the 001st and 002nd Districts who were killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to an officer from the Gang Enforcement Unit whose wife suddenly passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided assistance to four officers from the 002nd and 015th Districts and the Narcotics Unit and the Alternate Response Section who recently filed for disability.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Survivors Group.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the Officer Involved Shooting Classes.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the Chaplain’s Unit in order to conduct two End of Life seminars.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation repaired and maintained the waterwall at Gold Star Families Memorial and Park, and engraved four new names on the wall in the Sacrifice Space.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation chartered a bus to transport uniformed officers to parole hearings in Springfield, Illinois.
  • In addition to ongoing monthly assistance, the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid tuition in the amount of $72,918.84 for children of officers who were killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty from the HBT Unit and the 004th, 007th, 010th and 020th Districts.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $52,500 in $2,500 memorial grants to 21 children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 007th, 010th, 011th, 013th, 015th/Tact., 020th and 022nd Districts and the Narcotics Unit and Organized Crime Division.

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided the following assistance during May 2014: 

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to two widows of officers from the 001st and 002nd Districts who were killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided assistance to an officer from the 015th District whose daughter is severely ill.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided assistance to officers from the 004th, 007th, 014th, and 015th Districts who recently filed for disability.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Survivors Group.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the Gold Star Families.
  • In addition to ongoing monthly assistance, the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid tuition in the amount of $132,053.53 for children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 007th, 008th, 010th, 011th, 020th and 024th Districts and the HBT Unit and Unit 189.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $86,250 in $2,500 memorial grants to 35 children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 007th, 008th, 010th, 011th, 013th, 015th/Tact., 020th, 022nd, 023rd  and 024th Districts and Unit No. 189, Special Operations, HBT Unit, Forensic Services and Organized Crime.

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided the following assistance during April 2014: 

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to three widows of officers from the 001st and 002nd Districts and Area 4 Detectives who were killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the families of officers from the 004th District, the Traffic Unit, the Alternate Response Section and the Fugitive Apprehension Unit who passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided assistance to an officer from the Alternate Response Section who is severely ill.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to officers from the 006th District and Area North Detectives who recently filed for disability.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Survivors Group.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation chartered a bus to transport CPD Officers and Gold Star Family members to the Springfield Memorial Services.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided assistance for the purchase of safety vests for CPD K-9 dogs.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided assistance for Officer Involved Shooting Classes.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Honor Guard.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the Gold Star Families.

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided tuition assistance to the children of an officer from the 010th District who was killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided tuition assistance to the child of an officer from Gangs Investigations who was injured in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the widow of officer from the 001st District who was killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of an officer from the 004th District who passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to a sergeant from the 014th District who recently filed for disability.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to an officer from the 008th District who is terminally ill.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Survivors Group.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid for the shipping of Christmas care packages to CPD officers serving overseas.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation chartered a bus to transport uniformed CPD Officers to the Springfield parole hearing of offender Lee Jones, convicted murderer of Officer Eddie Jackson.
  • In addition to ongoing monthly assistance, the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid tuition in the amount of $132,053.53 for children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 007th, 008th, 010th, 011th, 020th and 024th Districts and the HBT Unit and Unit 189.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $86,250 in $2,500 memorial grants to 35 children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 007th, 008th, 010th, 011th, 013th, 015th/Tact., 020th, 022nd, 023rd and 024th Districts and Unit No. 189, Special Operations, HBT Unit, Forensic Services and Organized Crime.

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided tuition assistance to the children of an officer from the Hostage, Barricade, Terrorist Unit who was catastrophically injured in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided tuition assistance to the children of an officer from the 010th District who was killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the widows of officers from the 001st and 002nd Districts and Area 4 Detectives who were killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of an officer from the 001st District who passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of a detective from Area North who passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of an officer from Bureau of Organized Crime who passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of a sergeant from Narcotics Division who passed away.

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the widows of officers from the 001st and 002nd Districts who were killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of a detective from Area South who passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of an officer from Unit 188 who passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of an officer from the 009th District who passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of an officer from Unit 167 who passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to an officer from the 008th District whose son was seriously injured.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to four officers from the 004th 012th and 018th Districts who recently filed for disability.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Survivors Group and the CPD Gold Star Families.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation performed repairs on the fountain lights at Gold Star Families Memorial and Park.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation sent a floral arrangement to the services of fallen Cook County Sheriff’s Officer Cuauhtemoc Estrada.

In addition to ongoing monthly assistance, the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

  • Paid tuition in the amount of $132,053.53 for children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 007th, 008th, 010th, 011th, 020th and 024th Districts and the HBT Unit and Unit 189.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $86,250 in $2,500 memorial grants to 35 children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 007th, 008th, 010th, 011th, 013th, 015th/Tact., 020th, 022nd, 023rd  and 024th Districts and Unit No. 189, Special Operations, HBT Unit, Forensic Services and Organized Crime.

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided the following assistance during December 2013:

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided educational assistance for the son of an officer from the 008th District who was injured while on duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided educational assistance to the daughter of an officer from the 011th District who was killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of a sergeant from the 014th District who was passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to an officer from the 008th District who was seriously injured while on duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to seven officers from the 006th, 009th, 019th and 020th Districts and Units 312 and 701 who recently filed for disability.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Survivors Group and the CPD Gold Star Families.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to Officer Involved Shooting Classes held at the CPD Training Academy.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation purchased 11 Halo K9 Vests for the CPD K9 Unit with funds raised during Operation Vest’Em.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation visited the homes of 20 families of fallen and catastrophically injured Chicago Police officers during Operation Santa, bringing gifts to 35 children and financial assistance to the families.

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided the following assistance during November 2013: 

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided educational assistance for the son of an officer from the Court Liaison Section who was injured while on duty in a squad car accident.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided medical assistance to the family of an officer from the 025th District who was seriously injured.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of an officer from the 007th District who was seriously injured while on duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the widow of an officer from the 001st District who was killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the widow of an officer from the 002nd District who was killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to an officer from Forensic Services who recently filed for disability.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Survivors Group.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to Officer Involved Shooting Classes held at the CPD Training Academy.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation sent an arrangement to an injured sergeant from the 007th District.

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $86,250 in $2,500 memorial grants to 35 children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 007th, 008th, 010th, 011th, 013th, 015th/Tact., 020th, 022nd, 023rd and 024th Districts and Unit No. 189, Special Operations, HBT Unit, Forensic Services and Organized Crime.

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided the following assistance during October 2013:

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided Memorial Grants as follows: $2,500 Memorial Grants to two children of an officer from the HBT Unit who was catastrophically injured in the line-of-duty; a $2,500 Memorial Grant to the child of an officer from the Forensic Services Unit who was killed in the line-of-duty; and a $1,250 Memorial Grant to the child of an officer from the 022nd District who was killed in the line-of-duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid tuition in the amount of $24,882.99 for children of fallen and catastrophically injured officers from the HBT Unit and Unit 189.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid tuition in the amount of $5,767 for the children of an officer from Unit 189 who was seriously injured in the line-of-duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of an officer from the 008th District who passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the widow of an officer from the 001st District who was killed in the line-of-duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the widow of an officer from Area 4 Detectives who was killed in the line-of-duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to four officers from the 005th and 009th Districts and Units 177 and 620 who recently filed for disability.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation purchased bumper stickers for city vehicles for the COP SHOT program.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided for the winterization of the fountain at Gold Star Families Memorial and Park.

In addition to ongoing monthly assistance, the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation:

  • Paid tuition in the amount of $102,870.54 for children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line-of -duty from the 004th, 007th, 008th, 010th, 011th, 020th and 024th Districts.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $77,500 in $2,500 memorial grants to 31 children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line-of-duty from the 004th, 007th, 008th, 010th, 011th, 013th, 015th/Tact., 020th, 022nd, 023rd  and 024th Districts and Unit No. 189, Special Operations and Organized Crime.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the CPD Survivors Group and the Gold Star Families.

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided the following assistance during September 2013:

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided a $2,500 memorial grants to the child of an officer from the 008th District who was catastrophically injured in the line of duty.

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the widow of an officer from the 002nd District who was killed in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to six officers from the 004th, 009th, 015th and 020th District and Units 376 and 630 who recently filed for disability.

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $75,000 in $2,500 memorial grants to 30 children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 004th, 007th, 008th, 010th, 011th, 013th, 015th/Tact., 020th, 022nd, 023rd  and 024th Districts and Unit No. 189, Special Operations and Organized Crime.

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided the following assistance during August 2013:

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid the tuition in the amount of $9,829.94 for children of officers who were catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty from the 010th and 011thDistricts, and Unit 701 and 189.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided $7,500 in $2,500 memorial grants to 3 children of officers who were killed in the line of duty from the 010th and 020th Districts and Forensic Services Unit.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided educational assistance for the son of an active duty officer from Unit 189.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to an officer from the 025th District who was severely injured in the line of duty.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of an active duty officer from the 020th District who passed away.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of an active duty officer from Unit 311 who passed away.

  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided Suicide Awareness and Prevention Training for 250 law enforcement professionals at an all-day seminar on January 21, 2013 in Oak Brook, Illinois.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation paid for a chartered a bus to drive uniformed officers to an en banc parole hearing of a convicted cop killer.
  • The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation sent floral and fruit arrangements to injured

officers and law enforcement related funerals as well as provided awards of recognition to CPD officers of the month. In addition to monthly assistance:

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided gifts and other assistance to twenty families of Chicago Police Officers who were killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty during Operation Santa 2012.
