Memorial Tour

On Saturday, May 17, 2008, Gold Star Families Memorial and Park will be one of the locations featured in the Great Chicago Places and Spaces festival. A tour of the park, which will be conducted by Ben Baker, Landscape Architect, Wolff Landscape and Mike Murphy, GSFMP Committe Chair, will take place at 1pm and last for an hour and half. Tickets for the tour are free and will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. 25 seats are available. Ticket distribution will begin at 7:30 AM at the Chicago Architecture Foundation/ArchiCenter, Sante Fe Building Atrium, 224 S. Michigan Ave. at Jackson Blvd.

CPD Memorial License Plates

The 2008 License Plate Applications have been mailed. You can also download the forms by clicking on the following links : Cover Letter | Application Please note the following:

The 2008 LP application has an error, if your plates expire in September you are OK not to renew early, if your plates expire June, July or August, you must renew early, but the SOS will not have renewal stickers ready for July or August until June.  You are to send in your Memorial Application along with your money and your current registration, but you must get us a current registration no later then June 30th for you to get your 2008 Memorial Plate.  Anyone with an expired plate as of August 30, 2008 will not get a plate.  These are the strict rules of the Secretary of State and we need to abide by their rules. --- Thank you for your cooperation, The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, Drive to Remember Program
