On April 16, 2008, the Illinois Prisoner Review Board held hearings on the following cases:

 

Inmate George Knights for the murder of Sgt. James Severin and Officer Anthony Rizzato on July 17, 1970

Inmate Willie Lewis for the murder of Officer Patrick Crowley on September 13, 1976

Inmate Joseph Hurst for the murder of Officer Herman Stallworth on May 23, 1967

The hearing was conducted by Thomas L. Johnson a member of the Illinois Prisoner Review Board.  Parole of these three cop killers was opposed by members of the officer’s families, former partners, the FOP, Gold Star Families and The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation.  The decision will be made by the entire board at a hearing to be conducted in the future in Springfield, IL.  We will publish that date when we learn it.

You can help by printing out the above petitions and getting as many signatures as possible. Petitions should be mailed or delivered to back to 1359 W. Washington Blvd., Chicago IL 60607 no later than April 30th, 2008.

In addition to the aforementioned cases involving Chicago Police Officers, the Illinois Prisoner Review Board will also hear the following case:
