Officer Michael Gordon, killed in the line-of-duty in 2004 by a drunk driver, was honored last week by the CPD. The Chicago Police Academy training lab, where recruits learn how to administer Breathalyzer tests, has been named after the late officer in a moving ceremony.

The former military police officer served on the CPD and Riverside Police Department before he died, and left behind a wife, four children, both parents and siblings.
