Thursday, November 21 – The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation chartered a bus today and brought 22 uniformed Chicago Police Officers to Springfield to attend the En Banc hearing for Ronnie Carrasquillo the convicted murderer of Chicago Police Officer Terry Loftus.
The Illinois Prisoner Review Board denied Carasquillo parole by a vote of 12 to 3. They also imposed a 3 year set which means he is not eligible for parole until 2016.
The hearing for inmate Joseph Hurst was continued until January.
Thank you to retirees John Manos, John Chojnacki, Mike Cronin, Hank Walsh, Bob Navigato, Al Piantkowski and John Coughlin for representing the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and testifying at the protest hearing last week at 26th Street and California. Special thanks to the 22 uniformed officers who made the trip to Springfield today.
This certainly demonstrates that we adhere to our motto to “Never Forget” our fallen officers.
