| The Cause: |
543 Chicago Police officers have made the ultimate
sacrifice, giving their lives in the line and performance of duty. The
Chicago Police Memorial Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated
to providing assistance to the families of our fallen heroes. The event is
held at Gold Star Families Park, which honors the brave men and women who
dedicated their lives to the protection of the City of Chicago and its
visitors. |
| Team Captains &Team Members: |
Team Captains MUST register first
and will create their team during the registration process. Team Members will register after the team captain has registered and created the team. Team members will then select their team name from the drop down box on the registration form. Team Challenges are encouraged, and prizes will be given for largest team, biggest fundraising team, more TBA! |

| DEDICATE YOUR RUN or WALK: |
Runners and walkers who register PRIOR TO APRIL
10, 2010 can request their fallen hero's name on their commemorative bib and
run or walk in their memory. Any police agency's fallen officer's name can be placed
on the bib. (Names subject to verification) Visit http://www.cpdmemorial.org/heroes/Memorial.aspx for a
list of fallen heroes. THIS IS FREE!! (Additional commemorative bibs without
numbers are available upon registration for $5 each). |

| Parking:: |
There will be FREE Run To Remember parking in the Waldron
Deck. Please USE the 18th street exit off of both Northbound and
Southbound LSD. |
| The Course/Timing: |
The USATF sanctioned and certified (IL09035JW) chrono-timed 5k run course begins on Museum Campus Drive,
heads north along the lakefront path, loops back on the harbor walk, and
finishes at Gold Star Park. Digital clocks with mile splits will be posted at
mile 1, 2, 3 and the finish line. Water is provided on the course. Course map

| Goodies: |
Goodie bags and Technical T-shirts for all PRE-REGISTERED
adult participants. Age-group awards. All children participating in the
junior jog receive an award. Refreshments will be provided on the course and
post-race. DJ, Post-race massage, raffle and entertainment including Pipes
and Drums of the Emerald Society, K9, Forensic, Helicopter, and Mounted Unit
demos. |
| Children's Activities Area: |
The Girl Scouts will be conducting an ACTIVITIES AREA FOR
CHILDREN from 7:30 am until 9:30 AM. Parents who feel their child is not
suited for the 3 mile walk or run may check their child into this area and
pick them back up in time for the Junior Jog at 9:30. Take advantage of this
opportunity to induldge yourself with a bit of
"adult time!" All parents must register and sign a waiver for
children that will be in the activities area. |
| Junior Jog: |
The Junior jog as well as the 5K walk
is $10 for participants 12 and under. The junior jog will commence at 9:30,
allowing for ample time for walkers to complete the course. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE REGISTERED BY AN ADULT! NO
EXCEPTIONS! ALL participants MUST WEAR their RACE BIB. Every child will
receive an award/prize. |
| Wheels And Animals!!!: |
Sorry, due to course limitations, there are NO
rollerblades, skateboards, bikes or animals allowed on the course. THOSE WHO
CHOOSE TO RUN WITH A BABY JOGGER MUST START AFTER ALL OTHER RUNNERS AND IN A
SEPERATE CORRAL. This will be STRICTLY ENFORCED! Participants with infants
MUST SIGN A WAIVER for them if the child is to accompany them on the course.

| RAFFLES: |
Everyone that signs up ON-LINE will be entered into a
SPECIAL raffle. The winners of this raffle will be chosen by a computer generated program after on-line registration
closes. Winners will be posted in the awards tent on race day. WINNERS MUST
BE PRESENT TO WIN! Past prizes included rooftop Cubs Tickets, Sox tickets,
Spa days, Golf packages, $100.00 gift certificates
to Gibson's, Stefani's and Topo Gigio. |
| Age Groups:: |
There will be unique awards for the top 3 male and female
finishers in each age group. Age groups are as follows: 14 and under, 15-19,
20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64,65-69, 70-74,
75-79, 80 and over. |
| Packet Pick-Up/Wellness Day: |
Packet Pickup will be held at the Chicago Police Academy,
1300 w. Jackson from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on April 29th and
30th. COURTESY PARKING will be available!!! On FRIDAY APRIL 30th the academy
will be conducting a Wellness Day, free to all P.OŐs,
retirees and Run To Remember participants. Come browse the booths, sample a
class, or get a pre-race massage.

| POST-RACE PARTY: |
Don't let the good times end after the race! Join us at
STANLEYS 324 S. Racine for the after party. DJ, food, and drink specials to

| Race Refund Policy: |
Run To Remember does not offer refunds for ANY reason.
Please make sure you can attend on Saturday, May 01, 2010 prior to
registration. If for some reason you need to withdraw, your packet will be
available at pick-up. |
