||Detective Ralph Dunn, 41, was an 11-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department, assigned to the Detective Division – Criminal Investigation Unit. On March 24, 1966, Detective Dunn was traveling westbound of the Stevenson Expressway when his squad car skidded off the road and crashed into a guard rail near Cicero Avenue. Detective Dunn was pronounced dead at Saint Anthony Hospital. Detective Dunn was laid to rest in Memory Gardens Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Helen; and children, Anne, Nancy, and Steven. Detective Dunn was a WWII veteran.
