|Incident Details:||Police Officer Jacob Sebastian, 56, was a 23-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department, assigned to the Cragin Station.
On November 7, 1905, Officer Sebastian was carrying election reports to city hall with other officers. While walking, one of the officers tripped on a stone flooring and his gun accidentally discharged when he fell onto the ground. Officer Sebastian was shot in the abdomen and was transported to Chicago Hospital where he died on November 9, 1905.
Officer Sebastian was survived by his wife.
