|Incident Details:||Police Officer James Henry, 31, was assigned to the 6th District.
On November 28, 1925, Officer Henry and his partner James H. Carroll, 37, were assigned to gather intelligence on a saloon located in the 5200 block of South Halsted Street. While inside the saloon, armed offenders entered and attempted a robbery. The officers attempted to stop the robbery when both of them were fatally injured. Officer Carroll died at the scene. Officer Henry succumbed to his injuries on December 1.
Officer Henry was laid to rest in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
