|Incident Details:||Police Officer Patrick Riordan was assigned to the 019 Precinct.
On June 17, 1905, Officer Riordan was on duty as a watchman at a railroad crossing located on 41st Street and Stewart Avenue. The officer was directing foot traffic when he walked onto the northbound train tracks to avoid a southbound train and was struck by a northbound train. Officer Riordan was fatally injured.
Officer Riordan was laid to rest in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
