|Incident Details:||Police Officer Raymond Kavanagh was assigned to the Motorcycle Division.
On December 18, 1928, Officer Kavanagh was riding his police motorcycle when he spotted a speeding vehicle. The officer was in pursuit of the vehicle when he struck a curb and lost control of his motorcycle. Officer Kavanagh suffered a skull fracture and was transported to a local hospital. He survived the incident but began to suffer from seizures. Two years later, he underwent surgery to help alleviate his previous injuries. Officer Kavanagh died during surgery on December 28, 1930.
