|Incident Details:||Police Officer Robert Oman, 42, was a 13-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department, assigned to the Motorcycle Division.
On November 7, 1946, Officer Oman’s police motorcycle overturned on the 4100 block of Marine Drive when he skidded over a patch of gravel. Officer Oman was transported to American Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officer Oman was laid to rest at Irving Park Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette and daughter, Jacqueline.
