Incident Details: | Police Officer Thomas Colquitt, 47, was a 17-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department, assigned to the Lincoln Park Police.
On February 10, 1915, Officer Colquitt was patrolling his beat when he was struck by a vehicle in front of the Ulysses S. Grant Monument in Lincoln Park. The driver of the vehicle exited the vehicle and drove the injured officer to Columbus Hospital. Tragically, Officer Colquitt died in the vehicle. Officer Colquitt was survived by his wife and seven children. |
