|Incident Details:||Police Officer Victor Sugg, 35, was assigned to the Hudson Avenue Station.
On April 15, 1934, Officer Sugg attempted to stop an altercation between two couples at Halsted and Fullerton Streets. During the incident, one of them struck the officer causing him to fall and hit his head on the pavement. He was taken to a local hospital where it was believed he suffered a superficial wound. Tragically, he had suffered a skull fracture. Officer Sugg died at Alexian Brothers Hospital on April 24, 1935.
Officer Sugg was laid to rest in All Saints Cemetery. He was survived by his wife, Lillian, and two sisters.
