|Incident Details:||Police Officer Fred Heiman, 49, was assigned to the 6th Precinct.
On August 24, 1900, Officer Heilman was severely beaten by a group of people. The officer was trying to force the group to exit a saloon. Officer Heilman died from his injuries on January 31, 1903.
Officer Heilman's funeral mass was held at Holy Cross Church and he was laid to rest in St. Boniface Cemetery.. He was survived by his wife, Elizabeth.
