|Incident Details:||Police Officer Raymond Walsh, 28, was a 19-month veteran of the Chicago Police Department, assigned to the North Shore Park District Police.
On March 8, 1925, Officer Walsh was riding his police motorcycle in pursuit of a speeding vehicle when he was struck by a taxi on Sheridan Road. Officer Walsh was fatally injured. The driver of the other vehicle was never identified.
Officer Walsh's funeral mass was held at St. Ignatius Church and he was laid to rest in All Saints Cemetery. He was survived by his wife, Marie. He was a WWII veteran
